Calendar Next session starts Jun 15, 2026 at 6 pm, runs for 1 week
3 additional sessions through Jun 28, 2026

What are we working on:

  • Wednesday June 10th, 6pm-8pm - Circus with Maddy and Kiaran: Come run away with us to the circus for a day! In this workshop, led by Teaching Artists Maddy and Kiaran, you'll be working on skills such as juggling, dancing, clowning, and learning more circus character archetypes. Get excited for a day of clowning around!
  • Monday June 15th, 6pm-8pm - Puppetry with Sarah and Perry: Bring hand puppets to life! Led by Facilitator Sarah and Teaching Artists, Perry, actors will explore how breath, focus, and weight transform simple puppets into expressive characters. Using our favorite ensemble-based rehearsal games, we’ll engage voice and physicality to explore creative expression through puppetry.
  • Wednesday June 17th, 6pm-8pm - Improv with Edmund and Maddy: A.B.L.E. gets funny! Join Teaching Artists Braden and Edmund for an Improv Workshop. We will explore games and activities that you might see on the stages of The Second City or ComedySportz. We'll practice fundamental improv skills, including working together, saying "yes, and...", and building self-confidence, while getting to connect as a community.
  • Wednesday June 24th, 6pm-8pm - Musical Theatre with Ariya and Ruby: Join Teaching Artists Ariya and Ruby for a Musical Theatre Workshop where we will learn “We’re All in This Together” from High School Musical! We will warm up and prepare to sing and dance, then learn our music and choreography as a team. We’ll end the workshop by performing the song for each other in small groups. Get ready to unleash your inner Wildcat!
  • Sunday June 28th, 10:30am-12:30pm - On Camera Acting with Lawrence and Katie: Get ready for your close up! In this 2-hour workshop, we’ll learn lingo and skills that are used by your favorite film and TV stars. Actors will get in front of the camera in a range of individual and partner activities, and get to see their performances on a monitor to make adjustments and share feedback with each other.

Attendance

Space in our workshops is limited. Please only register if you’re confident you can attend. Canceling with less than 72 hours’ notice, aside from situations like illness or emergencies, may impact your ability to register for future workshops.

What happens in the workshop?

A.B.L.E. workshops are 120 minutes. Activities vary depending on the focus, but every session follows the same basic format, so you’ll know what to expect. You will receive a social story with more details before your session.

Health & Safety

We are an ensemble and have to support each other. One easy way to show support for our community members who are immunocompromised or high risk is to wear a mask. A.B.L.E. recommends masks at all in-person sessions to help care for the most vulnerable among us.

Financial Assistance

A.B.L.E. is committed to ensuring our programs are financially accessible for everyone. We will never turn anyone away because of finances. At sign up, you will be able to choose a pricing scale that works for you.
